Easter Party

This weekend was our neighborhood's Easter party. One of my favorite things about living here is all of the fun events that they do for the families. This one was so much fun. They had a little train for the kids to ride, an Easter egg hunt, a petting zoo, live bunnies for the kids to hold, games, pony rides and pictures with the Easter bunny! So fun!
Sarah loved the pony rides. Her pony had rainbow colored hair! She was scared of the Easter bunny and didn't want to take a picture with him. The boys took one!

Chase was worn out from all of the fun! Sweet boy!
It was such a fun day!

Thankful Thursday

When did they get so big?

It's hard for me to believe he is almost 6 years old. He just seems so much older all of a sudden. He carries on a conversation like an adult. (He's kind of been doing that since he learned to talk, but even more so now!)

And this little lady is a walking encyclopedia.

Recent quotes:

"Taking walks-es gives you energy and makes your body strong."

"The bees are betracted to the flowers"

"You should love the Lord your God with all of your mind, and with all of your strength, and with all of your heart, and with all of your soldier."

"I'm a genius"

Sometimes they drive each other crazy but

most of the time they are best buddies.

I am thankful.

And maybe a little sad by how quickly this whole thing is flying by.

But mostly thankful.

5 Months

My sweet little buddy is five months old now! This past month with him has been so much fun. He hit that four month mark and it was like a switch flipped. He stopped being as much like a newborn and more like, well, a baby! He talks and laughs. His little face lights up when he sees people he loves. He just knows they are going to talk to him and he loves that. He has the cutest little giggle! He's busy! Always squirming, looking all around. He doesn't want to sit still and snuggle (unless he's really sleepy!) He finally started to not mind being on his tummy. In fact, the biggest milestone of this month was when he learned to roll over! He's so determined. He can go from his back to his tummy. He has gone back over a few times but usually he gets on his tummy then cries until someone rescues him. As soon as we do, he goes right back over. He's started sleeping on his tummy too. He is just so much fun! We are so, so thankful for our sweet, good natured, happy little guy!

Chase's Nursery

I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures of Chase's side of the room. He shares a room with Sarah. Her side has pink with chocolate brown polka dots and some flowers. One of these days the whole room will be clean at the same time and I'll show you how it looks all together! His side has blue, chocolate brown & polka dots and a few animals. I'm happy with how it turned out!

Rag Quilt and a Cute Baby

My mom has made a rag quilt for each of my babies. This is Chase's. It came out so cute! Thanks Grandma!

Spring Break at Lake Murray

We had so much fun camping with my family over Spring Break! My parents rented a cabin at Lake Murray. We used to go camping there when we were kids so it was fun to go back with our kids. Papa made a huge campfire every night which the kids loved. We made S'mores and lots of other yummy camp food! We relaxed in the cabin, went for walks, played at a little beach area, did crafts on the patio (does that surprise anyone?), worked a puzzle, and just enjoyed all being together!
Papa & the grandkids enjoying the campfire.
