I just might have discovered the most fun thing, so far, about having a girl...the interchangable bow. What a great invention! It's a plain headband with a little loop at the top. In the loop you can put any type of hair bow, barrett, flower, etc...pretty much any hair accessory you can imagine. So now, Sarah has a closet full of pink, more shoes than I do, and the cutest little hair accessory ever! I'm loving this girl thing!

10 Reasons why this week was Awesome!
1. Fall is finally here.
2. We've gotten to wear our warm clothes & everyone's favorite, those cozy warm jammies.
3. We've spent our mornings snuggling on the couch, watch cartoons in those cozy warm jammies.
4. I've been using my crockpot a lot, making dinnertime way less stressful, but very delicious. This week I made Chicken & Stuffing one night , Hawaiian Meatballs with veggies another night, and today...cinnamon apples! Yum!
5. My mom watched the kids one day so I could clean the whole house...and it still looks pretty clean!
6. It's FRIDAY!
7. Next week is (Sarah's first) Halloween!
8. Her first Thanksgiving & Christmas are just around the corner!
9. I bought some craft supplies to start making some Christmas presents!
10. My wonderful, amazing, awesome husband arranged for me to have a kids free, girls weekend with my mom for shopping & a huge craft fair in Oklahoma. Isn't he the best?

What a fun weekend!
Our weekend was so much fun! We did a lot of things with our Home Group from church...
Saturday we had a lazy day at home, then headed out to the State Fair to see Third Day in concert. The fair was fun but extremley crowded. The concert was really good even though we were in the very back and really couldn't see the stage. The music was great though. It was neat to be out there with so many people singing worship songs, especially when they turned the music down & you just heard the crowd sing. So many voices just singing praises to God. It was awesome. I love outside worship music! Anyway, the kids had a great time. They sang and danced. It was fun watching them.

Today we had another lazy day at home. (slackers, huh?) :) Then our Home Group threw a baby shower for Sarah (and for another friend who is having a baby). It was so fun. The two dads played a relay game with a baby doll to see who could push the stroller, change the diaper, pack a diaper bag & push the stroller back. It was funny. Jacob "let Jason win." Sarah got lots of cute clothes. We had a great time just visiting with our friends. We are so thankful for them and for a great weekend!

Pumpkin Patch Day!
Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch with our friends from church. We always have such a wonderful time and it was great, once again. Grandma joined us and we had a really nice time. We played in the pumpkins, had a picnic lunch, went on a hayride, jumped in a bounce, and took LOTS of pictures! Adam really liked the hayride & Sarah had a nice day there too.
Getting so big
This morning we were getting ready for our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch. We have gone every year since Adam was a baby. I put Adam in some Fall clothes for the first time this year...he looked SO big! It made me sad, he just looked so grown up. His little baby face is gone and he looks like a little boy. An adorable, precious little boy. :) I can't believe how fast the time has gone. It makes me sad how fast it goes!

Big Brother & Little Sister
My cousin Jamie sent the kids these adorable Big Brother & Little Sister t-shirts. They are so cute! It only took two temper tantrums, a bribery bag of M&M's and about 20 tries to get this ONE picture where both kids are looking at the camera...not exactly smiling, but looking pretty darn cute! Enjoy!

Fun Day At the Fair!
Every year since Adam was a baby, Mom & I have taken him to the State Fair.
This year was especially fun because he was old enough to really enjoy it and there was a lot for him to do there. The first stop we made was to see Big Tex. Adam was very impressed and has been saying "Howdy Folks!" ever since.

Then he went to a Little Hands on the Farm exhibit. It was so neat! The kids get to pretend they are doing jobs around the farm. They had to water the trees, plant crops, milk a (plastic) cow, ride a tractor and feed the animals. At each station they get something to put in their bucket. At the end they take all of their goods to the market and trade them in for money. Then they went to the little store and got to buy a treat! It was so cute!
Sarah slept through most of the fair, but I think she enjoyed the day in the fresh air. We had a really good time and are extcited that we get to go back with Jacob and our Home Group from church! Yay!

Sweet Little Smiles
Daddy's Birthday!

We had a fun weekend celebrating Jacob's birthday. Adam & I made him a cookie cake. Adam was in charge of the sprinkles & did an excellent job! He got a few presents from us but his favorite gift was an ipod from my parents. He's wanted one forever & is so excited to have it. He listens to it all the time! He also enjoyed the Superman card from Adam.
