Fun Day At the Fair!

Every year since Adam was a baby, Mom & I have taken him to the State Fair.
This year was especially fun because he was old enough to really enjoy it and there was a lot for him to do there. The first stop we made was to see Big Tex. Adam was very impressed and has been saying "Howdy Folks!" ever since.

Then he went to a Little Hands on the Farm exhibit. It was so neat! The kids get to pretend they are doing jobs around the farm. They had to water the trees, plant crops, milk a (plastic) cow, ride a tractor and feed the animals. At each station they get something to put in their bucket. At the end they take all of their goods to the market and trade them in for money. Then they went to the little store and got to buy a treat! It was so cute!

We also had a lot of fun at the petting zoo, which was way cooler than any petting zoo I had ever been to. It had all kinds of animals~ goats, donkeys, yacks, cows, pigs, a tortise, a kangaroo with a baby joey, an antelope, a camel, a giraffe and a zebra! Adam didn't want to pet very many of them but he did get to feed the antelope.
Sarah slept through most of the fair, but I think she enjoyed the day in the fresh air. We had a really good time and are extcited that we get to go back with Jacob and our Home Group from church! Yay!
