State Fair Day!

We LOVE going to the State Fair of Texas every year! It's one of my favorite things about Fall in Texas! We've been taking our picture in front of Big Tex since Adam was a little guy in the stroller. He's growing up so fast! Sarah didn't remember going to the fair so it was all new to her. She had so much fun! She LOVED the petting zoo! She thought it was so much fun to feed the animals. She would have stayed in there all day. Adam wanted to learn about all of the animals so we read about each one on the little signs.
Another one of our favorite things there is the "Little Hands on the Farm" exhibit. The kids get to pretend farm jobs like planting, watering, feeding animals, riding a tractor. At the end they sell their goods at the market and get to buy a treat. It's so cute!

And you can't go to the State Fair without eating a Fletcher's Corn Dog...YUM!! They have all kinds of fried treats this year- we tasted Fried Frito Pie (it was really good). I didn't get a picture but we had to have a funnel cake too!
It was a great day at the fair! Oh and the weather was beautiful!! We stayed all day and even watched the lights parade at the end of the day!
