One Week Old!

Chase was one week old on Tuesday. His first week at home was busy! We came home on Thursday. Adam & Sarah gave Chase a tour of the house. It was super cute. Adam showed him some Star Wars toys (boy stuff!). Friday we had a lazy, snuggly day. Saturday we took him for a routine weight check and jaundice check. (Our hospital has everyone do this two days after they leave the hospital). His number for jaundice came back way too high. We ended up having to take him for blood work and then found out that he needed photo light therapy. He had to be in a little bed that looked like a tanning bed. We could only take him out long enough to feed him then he had to go right back in it. It was so sad! Thankfully we are finished with all of that. We took him back to the doctor on Monday and he was able to come off of the lights. Tuesday my mom came to stay with us for a few days. She totally spoiled us! It was so nice having her here! What a busy week! I'm hoping for more of the lazy, snuggly days this next week. I guess we'll wait and see what week 2 brings!
