Little Rock Stars

Family Reunion

This weekend we went to Bastrop, Louisiana for a family reunion. My family is from Baton Rouge, but my grandma always spent the summers in Bastrop with her relatives when she was growing up. She keeps in touch with lots of them and last year we started getting together with our family and the rest of the Bastrop group too. It was fun to see everyone & the food was wonderful! We played games, sang karaoke, and played BINGO with a chance to win some lovely prizes! :)

Swim Lessons at the Water Park!

We had so much fun taking swim lessons the last two weeks at the Central Aquatics Center in Hurst. I say "we" because while Adam was in his class, Sarah and I did a Mom & Me class together. It was lots of fun! On the last day, they turned on the slides and play equipment for the kids to play on.

Take me out to the ball game

We went to the Rangers game on Tuesday. The whole family went, for my dad's birthday. It was fun & the Rangers won! Oh, and who knew they actually still have Cracker Jacks at the ball game!

Check out the scrapblog

I've added a few pages to the scrapblog at the top. One is the big picture that you see at the top of the page. But, the other (page 11) is some pictures I took of Sarah over the weekend, and as Jara would say..."they're stinkin cute." Oh, and speaking of Jara, the little leopard onesie Sarah is wearing is from her too! :) Thanks, Jara. Love ya girl!

Birthday weekend

We had a good weekend. Saturday was my birthday. My mom took me out for lunch & a pedicure. When I got home, Jacob and the kids gave me some gifts and a cookie cake. In the evening we went outside and watched fireworks from our driveway. We stayed up late watching Lost, you know we are obsessed with that show.

Today after church, we went to my parents house for a BBQ. We met Jenn's new boyfriend Cody. He was really nice. We ate lunch, I got more gifts!, and we had a yummy oreo ice cream dessert. It was a fun day & a nice weekend!

Happy 4th of July!

Have I told you how much I love the 4th of July? I really do. I always have. It's my favorite holiday other than Christmas. I love summer & July 4th just represents all that summer is about. This was one of the best 4th's we've had. We spent the day at the park, riding in a bike parade, playing in the bounce houses, listening to live music (and dancing to the greatest disco band on earth, Le Freak), and of course, my favorite... watching the FIREWORKS with some of my favorite people! It was a great day but it was SO hot out there! I hope all of you had a nice day too! Oh, and when we got home tonight, our next door neighbor told us that tomorrow there is going to be another fireworks show (in honor of my birthday, I'm sure) that we will be able to see from our front yard! YAY! I took a ton of pictures today, I'll have to make a slideshow or something. I'll leave you with a few of my favorites...

Thankful Thursday

We are very excited for our friends Nicole & Blake. We can't wait to meet the newest memeber of their family, baby Addison! We have been friends with the Johnsons for a long time & have lots of wonderful memories with them. I'm sure there will be many more now that we are all parents of two little ones!! Congratulations!
