Last one...

Last month was a fun one. We had a blast celebrating the 4th of July. We took our Mom & Me swim class, went to the family reunion & had fun having friends over to our new house. I'm just not ready for my baby to be turning 1 TOMORROW!!

10 Months!!

Aww. Sweet little Sarah in her baby doll nightgown! Okay, so this was a busy month. We had just moved into our new house & were enjoying getting settled in here. Sarah started crawling & getting into everything! We started swimming a lot, which Sarah loved! This was also the month that she would not cooperate for her 10 month picture, so I just gave up & I think in the end it turned out really cute!

Month 8

We took Sarah on her first camping trip this month. She loved being outside & did great sleeping in the tent. I can't believe she will be ONE this WEEK!!!

This was a fun & busy month for us. We celebrated Sarah's first Easter, (I know we just celebrated her first Christmas, I'm confusing myself the way I'm doing this countdown. And just to confuse me more, Easter was early this year.) We also went to Tyler, TX with Becky & Baylee to participate in the Azalea Run and spend the day at the Caldwell Zoo. The landscaping there was so pretty!

We are up to month 6. She started getting really smiley around then! :)

Month 5

This month we celebrated Sarah's first Christmas! Our family gets a little Christmas crazy (if you know my dad, you know what I mean, and I totally take after him!) Anyway, we had a great time celebrating with our sweet girl. Isn't she pretty in her two Christmas dresses! I just couldn't choose between them! I really didn't mean for this countdown to be a look back at Sarah's fashion through the year, but that seems to be what it has turned into. :)

During Sarah's 4th month, we celebrated her 1st Thanksgiving & started getting ready for Christmas. I loved that little cupcake outfit! She wore it all the time, it was one of my favorites! She's so sweet and pretty! I love that girl!

Sarah's 3rd month...lots of fun! Her first Halloween, first trip to the Pumpkin Patch, the month I discovered the interchangable bow making her an official bow head with a bow to match every outfit!! So fun!

Counting down to the big ONE!

I saw this idea on another blog & thought it was so cute, I just had to copy it. We are now 12 days away from Sarah's 1st birthday. So over the next 12 days we will look back over Sarah's 1st 12 months. Here's month 1! So tiny and sweet!

Sarah's new trick

Look how big she's getting! She's starting to pull up on everything and she's so proud of herself! Awww, and look how sweet she is sleeping in her highchair! So precious!

But, the other (page 11) is some pictures I took of Sarah over the weekend, and as Jara would say..."they're stinkin cute." Oh, and speaking of Jara, the little leopard onesie Sarah is wearing is from her too! :) Thanks, Jara. Love ya girl!

I usually don't think my kids look too much alike, but look at this picture. They have the exact same expression. They look just alike in this picture. I don't know why they both looked so surprised. I just wanted to take their picture because they were so cute playing together. I guess I interrupted playtime!

5 Months Old!!!

Sarah is 5 months old today! They sure have gone fast! It just amazes me how much they grow and change this first year. It's fun to see her sweet little personality starting to show. She's a happy girl and she just loves her big brother! She really likes her cereal now. She's tried some baby food too. So far she's only had squash (or squish as Adam called it) but I'm excited to see what else she likes! She also figured out how to roll over! She's getting so big!

Weekend Update

I hope all of you had a nice weekend. Ours was good. Saturday we went to a birthday party. Later we went to Kasey & Baylee's house to play their new wii game. I'm so much better at wii bowling than real bowling. Anyway, then Jacob went out with some friends. I put the kiddos to bed and (finally) got started on Sarah's scrapbook. It's looking really cute! Today after church, Mom, Jenn and I went out to lunch & shopping while Jacob watched the kids, nice! We came home and watched the Cowboys last game of the season! Girl Talk...Pictures of the Year '07

Okay, if you are a man, you might as well just stop reading this now. It's about to get girly! Mom, you should just get some kleenx now, ha ha. So, girls- as you know I've been a little busy these last few months, so I am just now getting around to starting little Sarah's scrapbook. As I've been going back over the pictures, I have found these two that are just my absolute favorite pictures of the year, maybe my favorite ever. They almost make me want to cry and I'm going to tell you why.

This first one. Precious. You know as a mother you worry a little about what having a second baby is going to be like for your first baby. I wondered for so long what that moment would be like when Adam met our new baby for the first time. The look on his face in this picture just says it all. I just love it...

This next one. Well as most of you know Sarah's entrance into the world was crazy fast. Most of that whole night and next day are a blur. This moment though, I will always remember. My family and some of Jacob's family were there. We were all just sitting around, talking, laughing, admiring our newest little family member. The people that we love, just there together, two families brought together for this special day. It was like God just whispered down from heaven, this is it, this is what life is all about, enjoy these precious moments and all the ones in between. I'm so thankful for these people and for the wonderful memories of that wonderful day.

Okay, emotional girly moment over! I think I'll go take a bubble bath or eat some chocolate, ha ha!
