Happy Birthday Pawpaw!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Today we are celebrating Jacob's dad's birthday. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful father/father-in-law and grandpa to our kids. He's been so generous and done so much for us, getting "our" house fixed up to feel more like home! Thanks for everything! We love you!

Sweet girl...one month old!

I already posted a one month update but I hadn't taken this cute picture yet! She's doing great. She had her one month check up this week and weighs 10 pounds and is 22 inches long. She's a sweet girl!

Movie Night

Jacob had school tonight...the rest of us had movie night. We got our pj's on early, made popcorn and watched movies. With a two year old that meant we watched part of a Veggie Tales video, an episode of the Doodlebops, and about 20 minutes of the "puppets" (aka Muppets).

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today was my mom's birthday. We went to church with her, and then to her house. We were supposed to have a family party & dinner but Sam was sick. We're going to celebrate next weekend instead. We enjoyed a relaxing day with her. Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

One Month Old!

Our beautiful girl was one month old yesterday! She's doing great. She has a doctor appointment this week so we will see how much she weighs & everything. I can tell she's already grown a lot & has outgrown two tiny outfits that she wore when we first brought her home. Adam is still doing really well with her. They are keeping me very busy but things are slowly starting to fall into place a little bit! Sarah has gotten to meet lots of friends and family and seems to enjoy being passed around and held a lot! She's a sweetie!

College Days & BA!

My cousin Ashleigh started college this year & is living in a dorm (in a totally purple room, like I did!). It's been fun talking to her & hearing about getting settled in there. I've also been playing phone tag with my awesome college roomate and good friend, Bobbie Ann. All of this has been making me think back about my fun college days. It doesn't seem like they were that long ago, but so much has happened & my life has changed so much since then. Those were fun times though. I got to start being an adult but without all of the stress and expenses of the real world! BA & I were roomates all four years, we had so much fun! These are just a few of the things that will always remind me of BA:

Grapevine Mills Mall, decorating for every holiday, chocolate oatmeal cookies, the Jeffersons theme song (ha ha), Party of Five & Felicity, Good Will Hunting (Matt Damon), White chocolate oreos, Counting Crows, wedding magizines!

College was also great because thats where I became friends with another one of my best friends, Lisa. (and I'm so excited that she just moved back to Fort Worth with her husband and precious little boy). And, of course the best thing that happened during college, meeting the love of my life. We didn't go to school together, but I was in college when we met & started dating.

I absolutley love my life today, but I do have great memories of those days!

Our New Best Friend

Well this guy is to thank for the best night of sleep we have had in the past three and a half weeks. (Why didn't we get him out sooner???) He may look like an ordinary teddy bear, but no- he's the "womb bear!" He plays a swooshing, heartbeat sound (or classical music if you choose) and Sarah sleeps, well, like a baby. Until last night she had a hard time sleeping in her bed (which is still the bassinet in our room.) Every time we put her in it, she would wait about 10 minutes, just to give us time to fall asleep, then start fussing. The only way she would sleep was in the swing or bouncer. It was the same story for naps, which she is currently taking- in the bed, right next to womb bear. I know I may be celebrating too soon, this might not work for long. But for today, it is good, I am happy, and a little less sleepy!

Cowboy & Cowgirl Room

Here are a few pics of Adam & Sarah's room. It turned out pretty cute. Grandma did lots of sewing & helped me decorate. Sarah's half is pink & denim, Adam's half is cowboy & red gingham. Over one window is a sign that says "Thank Heaven for Little Girls" and over the other is one that says "Thank Heaven for Our Little Cowboy." I hung up a picture of each of them in overalls (Sarah in a denim, overall dress.) over the changing table. It's cute!
