Rock Band

Jacob got a new toy for his birthday. Sadly, the TV in our living room went out. I am very lucky to have a live band playing in my bedroom. Look at the guitar players concentrating face. How cute!

So, I'm a little slow...

For a long time now, Adam has loved to play in the sink. He'll hang out with me while I clean up the kitchen in the evenings after dinner. He gets his little people & we fill the sink with water. He will stay there and play for the longest time. (And I think it's so cute that Jacob used to do this when he was a kid, at his Granny's house & now Adam loves it too.) Anyway, so this has been going on for quite some time now. Finally, a few days ago, I had a lightbulb moment. Adam loves to play in the sink, even better if you add soap (bubbles) and if he gets to spray the sprayer it becomes even more fun. Hello...why have I been doing the dishes all this time? He totally has a new job & he couldn't be happier about it!

Yay! Pumpkin Patch Day!

So, I have good news- I got a new camera! I'm so excited! And I got it just in time for one of my favorite days...Pumpkin Patch day! Ya'll know how much I love taking the kids to the pumpkin patch every year. It's such a fun tradition to go with our friends and Grandma every year. Like always, we played in the pumpkins, had a picnic lunch, took a hayride, went in a pumpkin house, played in the bounce houses and posed with the character cut outs. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. There is a slideshow to the right (click on it to make it bigger). But in case you just can't wait, here are my favorite pictures from the day...

Baby Steps

Sarah took her first few steps tonight!! It was so sweet. Jacob and I sat on the floor across from eachother. We would help her stand up, then she would let go & take a few steps before falling down. She thought the falling down was the funniest thing. She would crack up, then get up and try again. It was so cute. I did get a little bit on video but my regular camera is still not cooperating. So, I'll leave you with a cute picture from the summer!

It's that time again!

So, today, being the first day of October, we just had to start getting ready for fall around here. I got out the fall decorations (including my favorite pumpkin candle), bought my anual bag of candy corn/pumpkin mix and scheduled our pumpkin patch trip (in 9 days, not that I'm counting). So, next we need to start shopping for Jacob's birthday, which is this weekend! Oh, and on a totally unrelated to candy corn note...Sarah is SO close to walking. She stood up by herself for a just a minute today. She's so proud of her cute self too!

Another birthday...

This is a busy time of year for our family & birthdays. Last week was also Pawpaw (Jacob's dads) birthday. I didn't mean to leave his off of here, we just haven't gotten together yet to celebrate it. We need to do that soon. Anyway, we love you Pawpaw & hope you had a nice day.
