Happy Halloween

We are having a fun day. I'm sure there will be pictures later! I've always loved Halloween. My Dad always went all out for Halloween when we were growing up, which I'm sure is why it was always so much fun! For several years, he would turn our two story garage into an awesome & very scary haunted house. All of us kids & our friends would have a job in the haunted house. He would line the driveway in Halloween lights & tons of people would line up to go through it. My grandparents would come from Baton Rouge & be the "tour guides." It was so much fun. The day after Halloween my dad would go to all of the stores & stock up on scary stuff to make the next year's haunted house even scarier. It was fun!

Anyway, I don't have any pictures of all of that saved on my computer. But, I do have some of my kiddos from the past few years. I'll leave you with those for now. But sure to check back later for more!

Baby Legs

Are these not just the cutest things ever? Well, besides the precious little princess modeling them. I've been seeing them everywhere & I just had to get some for Sarah!

Cold Front

Yay! Fall is finally in the air! A cold front is comming! The temperature has dropped four degrees in thirty minutes! All of the winter clothes, blankets, warm pj's and hot chocolate that I got out at the beginning of Fall can finally be put to use. I love the cold weather! Of course, since it has been in the 80's we planned a picnic with some friends for tomorrow. We might have to move it inside! Yay! I love Fall!

Fun Friday at the Fair!

We love to go to the State Fair of Texas every year. Jacob didn't get to go this year, but my mom & I took the kids. We had lots of fun! The food was yummy, as always. Sarah enjoyed her first Fletcher's corn dog & of course, loved it.
Adam went through the Little Hands on the Farm exhibit. That is the neatest thing for kids. They wear an apron & pretend to be a farmer. They have to feed the animals, water the trees, plant seeds, pick vegetables & ride a tractor. They get money for all of their hard work & get to buy a snack in the general store. So cute!
We also went through the petting zoo & of course said hello to Big Tex!

It was a beautiful day & a great day at the fair!

Lazy Saturday

After a busy day at the fair yesterday, we've been enjoying a quiet Saturday at home. It was nice having Jacob home this morning, but that means he'll be working late this evening. We are very excited that he has tomorrow off! He hasn't had a weekend day off in a while! Sammy spent the day with us because Jenn had to work. The boys had fun playing together, playing outside, and doing some art projects. In some ways it's more work having an extra kiddo around, but at the same time it's nice because they entertain each other. Several times today, I found a few quiet minutes to sneak off to the couch and read a book while they were playing. It's been a nice fall day at home for us!

Too cute!!

Rock Band

Jacob got a new toy for his birthday. Sadly, the TV in our living room went out. I am very lucky to have a live band playing in my bedroom. Look at the guitar players concentrating face. How cute!

So, I'm a little slow...

For a long time now, Adam has loved to play in the sink. He'll hang out with me while I clean up the kitchen in the evenings after dinner. He gets his little people & we fill the sink with water. He will stay there and play for the longest time. (And I think it's so cute that Jacob used to do this when he was a kid, at his Granny's house & now Adam loves it too.) Anyway, so this has been going on for quite some time now. Finally, a few days ago, I had a lightbulb moment. Adam loves to play in the sink, even better if you add soap (bubbles) and if he gets to spray the sprayer it becomes even more fun. Hello...why have I been doing the dishes all this time? He totally has a new job & he couldn't be happier about it!
